FRC - First Robotics Competition

FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is an organization founded by inventor Dean Kamen and Woodie Flowers in 1989 in order to develop ways to inspire students in engineering and technology fields. The organization is the foundation for the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), the FIRST LEGO League, and the FIRST Tech Challenge competitions.

Our team participates in the FIRST Robotics Competition. This competition encourages high school students to become technology leaders by giving them experience working with professional mentors to develop a robot. Every year there’s a new challenge, which is different from its previous one. As of 2009, over 3,000 high school teams totaling over 37,000 students from Israel, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Netherlands, United States and United Kingdom compete in the annual competition.
